Prabhat Manadhar In His Own Words:
I feel like it’s been a long musical journey till i reached here, i should say that it’s been quite interesting journey meeting a lot of good friends, making good music. so i should thank all of them who inspired me to do this. i have always been fascinated with music since i was a kid, and the power it has, can never be underestimated. As a kid, i used to listen to my brothers playing Beatles song on the guitar, i just used to feel so happy and i wished that i could play. so i had to put my wish into reality, for that i practiced hard, i still remember i used to wrap my arms around the guitar body though it was bigger than me. so that’s how it all started. As i haven’t taken any special classes on learning music, i used to rely on listening and learning songs.
I am kind of a guy who’s dreaming all the time, but do nothing, that’s what makes me frustrated. so i take a help from music, to let it all out. so music becomes like my medium to express my emotions. for me, music is all about expression. if you can express it meaningfully and a good skill. well, i don’t have much hope of getting big or anything like that, just wish more and more people listen to my songs and i hope that it’ll help them in some way coz most of my songs are related to my different stages of life. so i feel, all the people out there have experienced same feelings that i have and had.
It’s been a long time i have been singing and playing guitars with my band ELEKTRIX, doing regular shows at restaurants and bars. it really helps me to sharpen my musical skill. and i always thought that it would be more intresting if we could play our own originals, and sometimes when we played our original, we saw that crowd appreciated it, and some people even came and ask if we had an album. so i started to become very keen on making an album. though i started recording some songs with ELEKTRIX, after it didn’t seem to work out. so i made up my mind to finish the album, i knew i had to do it. so and yes i worked really hard to finish all of the songs on the album.
SUVAPRABHAT was a dream project for me, it sure took a long time to fulfill that dream. basically i just wanted to give positive message to the people thru my songs. and i thought i could change the pattern of nepali songs, my songs are based on imagination, when i sing i can see the pictures in my mind’s eye. so i really enjoy singing that way, i try to feel every words that i sing. Currently i am putting up a new lineup with my frens Bigyan on guitars, John on bass and Siddhartha on drums.
At last i would like to thank all of the wonderful people who have supported me for my album.
