Hidden Treasures Miss Nepal 2012, the 18th Miss Nepal beauty pageant, was held on May 6, 2012 at the Hotel Del Annapurna in Kathmandu. Miss Nepal 2011 Malina Joshi crowned Shristi Shrestha as Miss Nepal World 2012, who will represent Nepal at Miss World 2012 with Nagma Shrestha and Subekshya Khadka crowned as Miss Nepal Earth 2012 and Miss Nepal International 2012 who will be sent to Miss Earth 2012 and Miss International 2012 respectively. The 16 shortlisted young women aged 19 years and above competed for the main title and the pageant was live telecast on NTV with Sahana Bajracharya and Biraz Singh Khadka as the hosts. Shristi Shrestha (born 18 October 1988, in Chitwan) is Miss Nepal 2012. Shrestha won the coveted title, beating 15 other contestants.[3][4] She represented Nepal in Miss World 2012 which was held on August 18, 2012 in Inner Mongolia, China. She started a B.Sc. Nursing course, however, she failed to complete the course and continued to pursue a career in modelling in London. She lives in Barnet. She is the first Miss Nepal to reach to the quarter finals (20th Place) of the Miss World. Although, she finished 25th in the entire Miss World pageant; she was able to achieve the 8th position in Beach Beauty and was one of the top 10 contestants for the Multimedia Award.She has been placed as Top 10 Dancers in Miss World 2012.
