Popular restaurant chain Pizza Hut & KFC opened up their first two outlets at Durbar Marg, Kathmandu on Sunday.
Devyani International, a subsidiary of the RJ Corp, in partnership with YUM brands jointly ushered in the first multinational chain of restaurants in the Himalayan nation.
“Devyani International along with YUM Brands, world’s largest restaurant company with five dynamic global brands & 35,000 outlets across 105 countries, is excited to make their entry in Nepal restaurant circle and have extensive plans for growth & expansion in this market,” a press release issued on the occasion said.
The release further said that consumers in Nepal are “ready for international eating out experience” and will give Nepali consumers the “first local experience of an international food chain”.
Pizza Hut and KFC will start to serve consumers in the first two outlets in Durbarmarg from Nov. 25 onwards.
Since its founding by Colonel Harland Sanders in 1952, KFC has been serving customers delicious, already prepared complete family meals at affordable prices.
