Nepal lost to Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 35 runs in their third match of the ongoing ICC World Cup T20 Qualifier played at Sharjah Cricket Stadiumin, Dubai, Thursday.
As Nepal chose to field first after wining the toss, PNG gave the target of 138 runs losing eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Chasing the target, Nepal managed to collect only 102 runs losing eight wickets in 20 overs.
Prithu Baskota scored the highest of 36 runs while Sharad Vesawkar and Pradeep Singh Airee scored 14 runs and 13 runs, respectively.
Nepal had defeated Denmark by 9 wickets and HK by 28 runs in the earlier matches of the tournament.
